Wow, what an incredible year 2025 has been for each of you! You've achieved something truly remarkable that many either don't have the opportunity to pursue or can't find the time for. I'm talking about the pursuit of musical learning. Revolutionizing Music Education: The Arvi System of Goals Get ready to be inspired! Our System of Goals, launched in 2018, was designed for our private class students who were passionately juggling multiple instruments and musical interests. These interests dived into areas like Songwriting, Music Composition, Music Production, Vocals, and of course, mastering their core instrument. It's a challenge to even write about, so imagine the dedication it takes to follow such a dynamic schedule! That's where our meticulously crafted timetables, world-class syllabus, productivity hacks, and the System of Goals come into play. Since 2022, we've expanded this innovative Goal system to every student at Arvi School of Music.

There's a high probability that we are one of the best music schools and rank among the top 1% of music teachers. We came to such blatant conclusions by sparking a music education revolution- and the System of Goals at Arvi is one dimension to divulge.

Goal completion Rates: 2025

We hit 62% in 2025! That's a great average given the staggering number of goals our 40 eligible students received. You've all put tremendous efforts and this deserves much appreciation. You've all been curious about the goals, how much you've completed and what more you can do. That progress is much greater than the millions of learners who learn music with no idea on what goals even to set. So the phrase one in a million, is hereby bestowed upon thee!

Past Performance

How did students do on the Goals in the past? A great metric is average Goal Completion Rate compared over the year for the School. I started maintaining analytical records since 2023, so here are the metrics:-

Year

Total Goals Assigned

Goals Completed

Average Goal Completion Rate

2023

343

234

68.00%

2024

428

257

60.00%

2025

568

353

62.00%

Every year, the total number of Goals have only increased. There's also a tremendous increase in number of Goals attempted and Completed. Though the actual numbers are much higher, these are conservative estimates I bring to you so we don't get carried away in our own parade.

Who did the best?

I always set goals at about 120% of a student's abilities. Each student is unique, as are their learning experiences. So how can you compare one student to another? Such numerical comparisons would be pointless and unnecessary. But I can offer something more valuable. I can share what the top 10% did to reach their level. Here's the secret sauce:-

  1. Attendance: Extremely consistent attendance with very few missed classes.

  2. Participation: They attended all the Arvi Showreels and made efforts to perform at their schools and in their communities. They also actively participated in all the jams.

  3. Passion: There was a noticeable passion for playing music and participating. It's that feeling of butterflies when you have the urge to sit down and play music.

  4. Practice: Occasional practice sessions inspired by random moments, leading to evenings spent with their instruments.

So there you are:- Attendance, Participation, Passion, and Practice. Thanks to our student, Tanush, who coined the term APPP to help remember this. A 100% Goal completion rate receives a mention right? Congrats to Naman!

A new Goal system

In 2025, for the very first time, we ambitiously set a target completion rate for December 2025, with only 3 weeks left in the year. Our target was a dream worthy 75%! Although we narrowly missed the mark by just 13% (a bit of bad luck), I have something exciting to share with you. In the second week of December, I introduced an innovative Goal Management system, both visual and analytical, to all our students. At that point, the Average Goal Completion Rate was 50.1%.

Now, imagine the leap from 50.1% to 62% in just 3 weeks. That's absolutely phenomenal! Approximately 20% of all progress happened in the final 3 weeks of the year, all thanks to the incredible motivation these systems sparked in the hearts of everyone, from children and adults to even our 5-year-olds!

Closing remarks

For those of you who hate my long messages, you'll hate long blogs even more. But such information is limitedly used if it resides in only my head. What's the target for 2026? 100% of course. As 2026 has drawn upon this world, may enthusiasm and renewed self-confidence fill your world. We'll put greater efforts this year than the last one, like humanity has since the dawn of the ages. Okay, I'll stop blabbering now. To infinity and beyond!
